About

I first visited Africa in the early 1990’s taking in the Kruger, the then Swaziland (now eSwatini) and KwaZulu Natal, and was instantly cast under its spell. It has called me back ever since and I readily and happily return as often as I can.

I am frequently asked what the appeal of Africa is and whilst I will always extol the stunning scenery, the amazing people, the vibrant culture, the exquisite food, the spectacular wildlife and much more beyond, my words always feel inadequate and I end up by saying “the only way you will truly know, is to go.”

To be able to tell so many people about the most spectacular place on earth is a privilege I am honoured to have. So be careful when you ask me where is my favourite place in Africa, I will tell you that and my other hundred favourite places too!
