About

I was born in Zimbabwe and lived there until I was a young child before moving to South Africa and living in Cape Town. Both countries hold very special places in my heart. 

My family and I moved to Yorkshire in 2019 and enjoy exploring what the UK has to offer! I have been in the travel & tourism industry since 2004 and still get excited to share my love for Africa (especially South Africa😊). 

My first trip with African Pride was a whirlwind trip of Kenya. I loved the vibe of Nairobi and the openness of the Masai Mara. The absolute highlight for me was the dhow sunset trip on Mida Creek, when we were staying at Watamu. What a special trip and so beautiful, I really, really enjoyed that!  I enjoy being able to design holidays for clients knowing they are going to have a once in a lifetime experience.

Loves:

South Africa (not biased at all!), the diversity, the people, the sense of humour, the food, the wine, the adventures, the beautiful and ever-changing landscapes as you move through the country.

Favourite Memory:

Quite a few but walking with cheetahs definitely is a standout memory.

Favourite Experience:

Nothing beats a game drive, especially the morning game drive. The excitement of being up early and heading off on the open-air vehicle, the fresh clean air to wake you up and the enjoyment of spotting animals!

Favourite African Wildlife:

The elephant definitely… but I love all the animals 😊
