About

I have worked in the product departments of specialist tour operators for over 30 years. My early years were spent mainly in Europe, developing city breaks and creating the first European programmes for 2 luxury specialists. I then spread my wings immersing myself first in the Caribbean, then Southern and East Africa. 

I am thrilled to be working for a true African specialist where I can fully indulge my passion for animals. A career highlight was the hour I spent in the company of Rwanda’s mountain gorillas.

Favourite Memory:

So many, but it’s the sounds that will stay with me for ever – feeling the air vibrate as 2 male lions called to each other; waking up to African birdsong; falling asleep to the sounds of hippos in the river.

Favourite Experience:

Flying over Botswana’s Okavango Delta in a helicopter, doors removed to allow unobstructed views. Seeing the area and its unique wildlife from above was breathtaking.

Favourite African Wildlife:

I could sit and gaze at giraffes all day.
