Northern Tuli Game Reserve
Why holiday in Northern Tuli Game Reserve?
The Northern Tuli Game Reserve lies in the remote eastern corner of Botswana, on the border with South Africa and Zimbabwe and where the Limpopo and Shashe Rivers converge. The landscape is varied and utterly breathtaking, with towering sandstone cliffs, kopjes, riverine forests and bushland. Sitting on the banks of the Limpopo River, surrounded by beautiful scenery, is the privately owned Mashatu Game Reserve.
This true wilderness area is known as the ‘Land of the Giants’ for a number of reasons – it is home to a large elephant population, the largest land animals on earth, as well as apex predators including lions, leopards and cheetah. The reserve is dotted with ancient baobab trees, their giant forms a defining feature of the Mashatu landscape. Africa’s largest antelope, the eland, can be found here, as well as giraffe, the tallest animals in the world.
Mashatu is a place for outdoor adventures, from game drives by day and night to walking, cycling and horseback safaris. For the ultimate wilderness experience, we suggest a night under the stars, an unforgettable experience.
A few days at Mashatu can be easily added onto a holiday in South Africa, ask our team for their advice and suggestions.
