Amboseli
Why safari in Amboseli National Park?
Amboseli is a relatively small park with unique landscapes that offer a completely different experience to other parks in Kenya. The diverse eco-systems support a wide range of wildlife and over 400 species of birds, but the park is perhaps most famous for its elephants. The views of Mount Kilimanjaro are the icing on the cake.

Amboseli National Park Highlights
- Amboseli is known for its large elephant population, with some of the biggest and oldest elephants in Africa - including the last remaining ‘Super Tuskers’ known for their exceptionally long tusks.
- Amboseli is the best place to capture that iconic photo of elephants on the plains with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro in the background.
- The park’s swamps and marshes - fed by underground rivers from Kilimanjaro’s melting snow -attract abundant wildlife and are particularly rich in bird life.
- The park is a photographer’s paradise, especially at sunrise and sunset with Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.
- Choose to stay in the park or in the private conservancies around it. Conservancies offer a range of activities beyond the daily game drives, including night drives, guided walks, community visits and horse-riding. Ask our team for their advice.
