Overview

Anakao is a simple beach lodge set on a beautiful Malagasy bay, protected by a lagoon and overlooking Nosy Ve Island. From Toliara, the best way to arrive is by speedboat directly onto the hotel’s beach.

Rooms

The 28 bungalow-style rooms are built from limestone with whitewashed walls, rosewood parquet floors and thatched roofs. They are simply furnished and air-conditioned, with complimentary Wi-Fi, en suite bathrooms, an outdoor terrace and a sofa bed that converts to a third bed. Family bungalows have a second bedroom for children upstairs. All have a sea view.

Facilities

At the heart of the lodge is the restaurant where fresh seafood is served along with Malagasy and international. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the beautiful stretch of beach in front of the lodge. Fishing trips and boat trips to nearby Nosy Ve island can be arranged locally, as well as diving for PADI-certified divers.
