Overview

Modelled on a fishing village, La Pirogue Hotel is situated on the island’s west coast, with direct access to more than one kilometre of sandy beach.

Rooms

All of the 248 rooms and suites are ground floor cottages made from volcanic rock, wood and thatched roof inspired by the local fishing boats. Each has a private patio, en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, LCD flatscreen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Facilities

Leisure facilities at the resort include a pool, tennis courts, table tennis, bocci and a weekly programme of fitness activities. Windsurfing, paddle boards, pedal boats, kayaks and hobie cats are available on a complimentary basis. Between La Pirogue and sister property, Sugar Beach, there is a spa and a hammam.

Golf lovers can enjoy free and unlimited green fees at both Tamarina Golf Club, an 18-hole championship course, and Ile aux Cerfs - the world-famous course designed by Bernhard Langer.

There are 6 bars and restaurants at the resort. Choose from global buffets and live cooking stations, fresh fish and seafood at a chilled-out beachfront hut and tasty local street food at the Coconut Café.

Le Morne Beach Bar is where you can enjoy a cocktail by the beach with a DJ on the decks, too! The Medine Bar is open until late, with live music by local musicians. Van Der Stel Wine Bar serves a choice of 60 wines by the glass.
