Overview

Lakaz Chamarel is nestled in the heart of the island on a 12-hectare tropical garden, surrounded by the majestic mountains of Chamarel and the Black River gorges, a protected natural heritage site. This unique and refined boutique lodge, set high in the hills, is an oasis for nature and green tourism enthusiasts, offering exclusivity and serenity in a warm and harmonious setting.

Rooms

Each of the 20 individually decorated rooms and suites features an open-air tropical shower and private terrace. All have complimentary Wi-Fi. Standard and Kaz Superior rooms overlook the two pools while the Pool Suites have their own private pools and views of either the gardens and mountains or across to the sea.

Facilities

At the main lodge there’s a lounge with a fireplace and comfy seating, TV room, library, bar and the dining room, with outdoor terraces to soak up the views. Guests are welcome to join the chefs in the open kitchen who are happy to share their culinary secrets.

In the lush gardens there are two swimming pools, a spa cabana, a sauna and a fitness kiosk.

Bicycles are available to explore the local area and the lodge runs a complimentary shuttle to the beach three times a day.
