Overview

Mowani Mountain Camp is located on a rock outcrop in the Twyfelfontein Conservancy. The camp has a focus on sustainable eco-tourism. It works to help the local community reach its full potential, and to protect the natural habitat of wildlife such as the black rhino and desert elephant.

Rooms

There are several rooms and suite types from which to choose, all are thatch and canvas. They are well-appointed with great views over the camp and its surroundings, including the boulder-strewn valley over which impressive sunsets are experienced. All are en-suite with bathroom, and have air-conditioning, tea and coffee station, minibar, and satellite TV.

Facilities

There is a pool, carved out of the local boulders and blending with the natural surroundings. The lounge, bar and dining room are great places to relax, socialise and take in the views. The sundowner bar with 180 degree views is a breathtaking place to watch the sun set.

The camp’s outdoor boma area is used for dining on special occasions and for guests on three-night stays.

Wi-Fi and mobile phone coverage are available but may be limited due to the camp’s remote location.

A trip to the ancient historic Bushmen rock engravings is one of the highlights of the area, and there are a range of outdoor activities such as nature drives and walks on offer.
