Overview

The Strand Hotel Swakopmund is located directly on the promenade in Swakopmund, surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic Ocean, with direct access to the main beach in town. A short five-minute walk through the town’s central park, leads to Swakopmund’s shops, cafés, restaurants, and bars.

Rooms

There are 125 rooms, all with air-conditioning, tea and coffee station and en-suite facilities, mostly with shower. Standard rooms have a view of either the beach of the gardens while Luxury rooms have views of the beach from a small ‘step-out’ balcony.

The Junior Suites have a lounge area large enough to accommodate two children under 10, en-suite with bath and shower and a balcony with a sea view.

The Luxury Suites are larger still, with the addition of an open-plan lounge and dining area and a separate bedroom.

The Presidential Suite has a large lounge with fireplace, a view of the main beach, and a private terrace.

Facilities

Within the hotel and grounds, there are two restaurants, a delicatessen and a café with sea-facing terrace. There is a spa and gym/fitness area. With its promenade location, there is easy access to the nearby entertainment, restaurants, bars, deli, sea-facing terrace, and beach kiosk.

Secure parking is available and can be arranged directly with the hotel.
