Overview

Located on the Namibian side of the Chobe River, overlooking the renowned Puku Flatts, Chobe Savanna Lodge offers the perfect remote river safari experience. It’s an area especially interesting for photographers and birders: enjoy the exceptional wildlife on the riverbanks, all from the comfort of a boat cruise. It’s also an ideal location for fishing, and visits to the local community.

Rooms

The lodge has 12 thatched chalets set in the well-tended gardens. The rooms are simply furnished and en-suite, with a shower, both ceiling fans and air-conditioning, tea and coffee station and minibar. Two rooms interconnect and there’s a family room – children of all ages are welcome.

Facilities

The multi-level main lodge has 270 degree views of the river and beyond to Chobe National Park from the lounge, bar and dining areas. Relax by the fire pit, on the viewing deck or by the pool which is tucked away in the gardens.

There are various activities and excursions on offer, all making the most of the river location. Take a boating safari, a sunrise or sunset boat cruise, or a special photographic safari designed for those with an interest in capturing the local wildlife and scenery in photographs or film. Seasonal catch-and-release fishing is available on request. Enjoy a visit to the nearby village with a professional guide to talk you through the culture of the people and village and what makes them unique. For those looking to take a piece of Namibia home with them, local crafts can be purchased from the craftsmen and women in the local market.
