Overview

Nambwa Tented Lodge is situated high amongst majestic trees, on an ancient elephant migratory route right inside the Bwabwata National Park. You may see the elephants wandering below, and the most breathtaking sunsets over the Horseshoe Lagoon. Here you can enjoy an exclusive night drive, before heading back to the lodge for hospitality and pampering.

Rooms

The 10 treehouse-style tented suites, linked to the main lodge by an elevated timber walkway, are built between four and six metres above the ground and shaded by the tree canopy. Each is spacious, furnished in light, natural colours and can open fully to connect with the outdoors. All have a private spacious viewing deck, lounge, double bedroom, and a en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. The rooms are cooled by fans and have mosquito nets, a tea and coffee station and Wi-Fi.

Facilities

Start the day with a freshly brewed hot drink delivered to your room before heading to the main lodge for breakfast. At the heart of the lodge is the majestic viewing deck, where you can dine under the skies while taking in the views of the floodplains below. Relax around the firepit as evening falls. The camp is solar powered.

Camp activities include morning or afternoon game drives in the park, a boat cruise on the Kwando River’s waterways, fishing, a guided bush walk or a visit to the local Sijwa Community Project where plastic, glass and metal cans are recycled into beautiful items for sale.
