Overview
Serenely situated on the white sandy shores of Lake Kivu and surrounded by extensive tropical gardens, Lake Kivu Serena Hotel overlooks its own stretch of private beach.
Rooms
The 66 modest rooms feature queen sized beds and are furnished in a classic style with en suite bathrooms, tea and coffee station, air-conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi and a balcony. Family rooms feature two queen beds while the suites have a king bed and a living room. The rooms are in two blocks with views of either the gardens or the lake.
Facilities
The main restaurant and bar both overlook the lake and the pool, with dining options inside or on the outdoor terrace. Casual lunches and themed weekend buffet dinners are served at the bar. Ziwani Café, on the private beach, is the venue for BBQs and sundowner cocktails.
Leisure amenities include a spa, a large swimming pool, tennis courts and a water sports centre where jet skis and kayaks are available for hire. Loungers are provided by the pool and along the stretch of private beach in front of the hotel. Hire a mountain bike and explore the lake’s biking trails or enjoy a boat ride.
