Overview
Mantis Kivu is a modern, resort hotel perched on a hilltop with fabulous views down to Lake Kivu. Being at the southern end of the lake, it’s a great base for combining water-based activities on the lake with visits to tea plantations, chimpanzee trekking and forest adventures in nearby Nyungwe National Park.
Rooms
The comfortable rooms are furnished in a modern style. Standard Rooms all feature king beds, air-conditioning, TV, en suite bathroom with shower and a private balcony - choose from either a mountain, pool or lake view. Deluxe Rooms are more spacious and have a tea and coffee station, while the Family Rooms have a second bed. Interconnecting rooms are also available.
Facilities
Buffet and a la carte meals are produced from local organic produce and served in La Vue Restaurant where guests can dine indoors or on the terrace. In the gardens, there’s a 25 metre swimming pool with children’s pool, Relax in the steam room and sauna, work out in the gym or enjoy the 25 metre outdoor pool. Younger guests can splash around in the children’s pool and unwind in the kid’s playroom.

" Being at the southern end of Lake Kivu, the hotel is well placed for visits to the lake and to the tea plantations of Nyungwe National Park. While the hotel isn’t on the shores of the lake, the elevated hilltop location allows for breathtaking lake views. "
