Overview

North Island offers the perfect private island experience, an authentic and idyllic retreat set in the most beautiful surroundings. Here, you can kick your shoes off when you arrive, you won’t need them again until it’s time to leave.

Rooms

North Island's 11 private villas have been handcrafted by local craftsmen from wood, local stone and glass. They are set along the eastern beach and raised a metre above the ground to capture cooling sea breezes. 

Under the thatched roof, the spacious villas have a living room which can be converted into a second bedroom and an air-conditioned master bedroom, with a dressing area and an en suite bathroom with bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers.

A lounge and dining area leads out onto the veranda. Each Beachfront Villa is tucked away by the natural vegetation, ensuring total privacy as well as ocean views. The multi-level Villa North Island enjoys a private location at the end of the beach.

Facilities

The Piazza is the focal point of the island, lit by lanterns at night for atmospheric evenings by the beach, the menus focusing on fresh ingredients from the land and the sea. Here you’ll also find the library, bar and lounge area. On West Beach the Sunset Bar is the perfect venue for freshly cooked pizzas, snacks and cocktails as the sun sets. Dotted around the island are a number of secluded spots where families or couples can celebrate special moments together.

Water sports such as kayaking, snorkelling, paddle boarding and diving are handled by the well-equipped Dive Centre. Just off shore there are a number of exceptional dive sites and a house reef. Just above the Piazza, there’s an infinity pool, a gym and a spa. Walking trails lead to viewing points around the island.

North Island’s beaches are important nesting sites for Hawksbill and Green turtles and there’s a chance you’ll encounter Brutus, the giant turtle as you explore the island.
