Located on the beautiful island of La Digue, Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie is a haven of peace and tranquillity. The boutique hotel’s tropical setting, beautiful local architecture and warmth create a ‘home away from home’ experience, a perfect retreat for couples and families alike. 
 

Rooms

Surrounded by palms and tropical vegetation, the 63 villas are all located just a few steps away from Anse Severe Beach. The villas are decorated in warm, earthy tones, and have air-conditioning, a lounge area with satellite TV, tea and coffee facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi, a terrace and a semi-covered en-suite bathrooms with a rain shower and bathtub. 

Located up the hillside (golf buggies will take the strain!), are the Villas de Charme, with incredible views of the resort from the terrace, and the more spacious Villas de Charme Elegance which have the addition of a jacuzzi. Closer to the resort’s centre and set in two-storey buildings are the Garden Villas. Garden Suite Residences are recommended for families, with a lounge which can be converted to a bedroom for children. The large Presidential Villa comes with butler service and a private pool.

Facilities

Down by the beach is the hotel’s main hub. Two restaurants serve up delicious, freshly prepared meals – informal buffet-style Creole and international cuisine at Santosha and a la carte meals at the roof terrace Combava Restaurant – or embrace the laid-back island vibe and enjoy barefoot dining on the beach. Cocktails and refreshing drinks are served in the Alambic Bar, the pool bar or on the beach.

For relaxation, there’s an infinity pool by the beach and a wellness centre is set on the hill amidst massive granite rocks and tropical greenery. Bicycles, the most popular form of transport on the island, are available for hire.
