Overview
Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse has the most idyllic location, set on a small lake and surrounded by the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains. The hotel has built a reputation for its gourmet country-style cuisine and a fine selection of wines. Dining here is an unforgettable experience.
Rooms
The 12 rooms and suites are all individually themed and equipped with air-conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, minibar, TV, cosy fireplace, and complimentary Wi-Fi, all with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The Luxury and Executive suites are a little larger than the Standard rooms while the Executive Cottages enjoy a more private location and, in our opinion, the best mountain views from their private verandas.
Facilities
Surrounded by gardens and set on the lake, the lodge has comfy, farmhouse-style lounges with a roaring fireplace. Guests can kayak on the lake or enjoy a treatment at the Copper Pot Spa, however the real focus of the lodge is the dining experience. Chef Richard and his team serve a gourmet five-course dinner and a hearty farmhouse breakfast.
