Overview

Madikwe Hills overlooks a productive waterhole set in the picturesque heart of the Madikwe Game Reserve, a reserve that is regarded as one of the finest non malarial game viewing areas in South Africa.

Rooms

Each of the 10 elegantly spacious suites has a separate lounge and bedroom area with large glass doors that open onto a private deck. On the deck, there is a plunge pool with views of the savannah. All suites have air-conditioning and are en-suite, with both a bath and indoor and outdoor showers. A short walk from the Main Lodge is Little Madikwe Private Camp, a self-contained, fully staffed, two-bedroom villa which comes with a private vehicle and guide for game drives, an ideal option for families.

Facilities

Built in and around the boulders surrounding the lodge, the main areas have a warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff delivering impeccable service and ensuring that all meals are a memorable affair. The cosy bar area is a welcome venue for pre-dinner drinks. Extensive dining options for your stay include the outside deck, the more formal Dining Room or the more traditional boma evenings. You also have the option to dine privately in your suite.

A wide range of outdoor activities is available, including morning and evening game drives in 4x4 safari vehicles, bush walks and guided wildlife photography. There is a swimming pool, gym, and health spa for relaxation and a Junior Rangers Programme with special activities for the children (children 10 years and over are welcome at the main lodge; children of all ages may stay at Little Madikwe).
