Rovos Rail fully deserves its reputation as one of the most luxurious trains in the world. We love the elegance of the beautifully restored carriages, crystal glasses and crisp white linens. Journey between South African cities, venture further afield to the magnificent Victoria Falls or embark on a rail journey of a lifetime: whichever Rovos experience you choose, you're assured of an exceptional trip.

Rooms

The wood-panelled sleeper suites come in three different sizes and configurations. All have a writing desk, luggage shelf, cupboards, a safe, air-conditioning, a fridge, tea facilities and a hairdryer. 

Pullman Suites have a sofa which converts to a double/twin beds or bunk beds by night. Deluxe Suites are larger and have double or twin beds and a small lounge area. 

Both Pullman and Deluxe Suites have en suite facilities with a shower, toilet and washbasin. 

The Royal Suites take up half a carriage each and have a private lounge area and a Victorian bathtub as well as a shower in the en suite bathroom.

Facilities

Afternoon tea and drinks are served throughout the day in the Lounge and Observation Cars. The Lounge Car is furnished with comfy sofas and wing-back chairs while the Observation Car has an open-air balcony and big picture windows. The elegantly furnished Dining Cars open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where four-course meals are accompanied by fine South African wines. The Club Car is the smoking lounge.
