Cape Town - Leafy Suburbs

  • In the Constantia Valley, Cape Dutch style houses and mansions are surrounded by park-like gardens, forests and picturesque vineyards.
  • Only 20-30 minutes’ drive from the centre of Cape Town, this leafy area feels like a world away.
  • Constantia is a food and wine lovers paradise with many excellent restaurants in the area. We can particularly recommend wine tasting here –the Constantia Wine Route showcases the areas finest wine estates.
  • Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens sit against the slopes of Table Mountain and are a delight to explore. Take the Tree Canopy Walkway from the forest floor up through the trees.
  • During the summer months, Kirstenbosch hosts a series of Sunset Concerts.
  • For more active travellers this area is a good base for walking, hiking, cycling and is home to some of the best golf courses in South Africa.
