Overview

The Lofts Boutique Hotel is a quirky hotel with an industrial-chic look, in the heart of Thesen Island, overlooking the Knysna Lagoon. The hotel stands in what was originally a boat shed dating back over 100 years and its maritime heritage has been preserved whilst developing the building and the surrounding area.

Rooms

Aerial walkways above the lobby and restaurants connect the rooms, which are all different in size and shape. All are en-suite with air-conditioning, tea and coffee facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi. Some rooms have a small balcony, and the lagoon view rooms are located at the front of the hotel. Duplex-style two-bedroom apartments can accommodate a family.

Facilities

Within The Boatshed complex, there is a spa, some boutiques and two restaurants: the hotel’s restaurant, Nest Food Bar, and local café and bakery, Ile De Pain. Outside, there is a splash pool to relax by, and a Martini lounge bar which is open for a morning coffee right through to sunset drinks.

Complimentary activities include kayaking on the lagoon, use of the hotel’s bicycles and a seahorse tour.

Car parking is available for those with a hire car.
