Overview

Crater's Edge is a luxury tented camp set within a grove of acacia trees just a few minutes’ drive from the Ngorongoro Crater floor, a truly idyllic setting.

Rooms

Fifteen spacious, stand-alone tented suites are set on wooden platforms with floor-to-ceiling windows designed to capture the views across the trees to the rim of the Crater. The tents are decorated in neutral colours and extremely well-appointed, with canopied beds, free-standing bathtubs, chairs for lounging around the fireplace and a private veranda. Binoculars and a telescope to make the most of the views are a thoughtful touch. Two suites connect, an ideal option for friends and families.

Facilities

The main lodge has two restaurant spaces, one indoors and one outdoors with a firepit for cooler evenings. Menus feature locally inspired dishes accompanied by fine wines and views towards the Crater. Cocktails are served in the bar and there’s a lounge and a cosy library. 

Activities available from the lodge include game drives into the Crater, a lunch on the Crater floor, nature walks, and a visit to a Maasai village.
