Overview
Gibb’s Farm’s focal point is the original colonial style plantation house built at the heart of this historic working farm. Surrounded by lush gardens with views across the coffee plantation, there’s a warm and very homely feel to Gibb’s Farm.
Rooms
Seventeen spacious one-bedroom cottages are dotted throughout the farm. Combining classic charm with contemporary touches, you’ll find local artwork on the walls, indoor and outdoor showers, a lounge area and a private veranda. Two larger farmhouses are ideal for families ensuring privacy for your stay.
Facilities
At Gibb’s, much of the food served in the restaurant is organically grown on the farm. Coffee is grown, ground and freshly roasted on the farm. Join an early morning walk guided walk around the gardens or a morning baking class. The beautiful gardens house a giant outdoor chess set and a lap pool and terrace with stunning views. For more active pursuits there are two walks directly from the farm into the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Spa treatments can be arranged.

" We recommend taking a day just to explore the farm, gardens and surrounding conservation area - children love joining in the farm activities, from milking cows to collecting eggs! If you are travelling between late June and November you may be able to join in the coffee bean harvest.! "

Gibb’s Farm is located in the Karatu area at the foot of the Ngorongoro Forest, south-east of the crater.
"We had an amazing, awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Everything ran smoothly and we managed to see the Big 5 plus lots of lions, tree lions cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, elephants galore etc. Even the wildebeest. The accommodation was great everywhere. We had the most wonderful time and despite the cost, the air balloon flight was so worth it. Such an experience, none of us will ever forget."
