Overview
With a style that is best described as elegant yet rustic, Zumbua is a stunning camp that makes the most of its scenic setting without compromising on luxury. The camp and the area are particularly renowned for walking safaris.
Rooms
Three thatched rooms are set on raised platforms, with canvas walls that open during the day and close completely at night. Solar-powered, they are secluded and spacious, with beds positioned for the best views, a private plunge pool on one side and a bathroom with a bathtub and an outdoor shower on the other.
Facilities
At the heart of the camp is the main area, split into three sections – a relaxed lounge and information centre, a dining room and the Star-Bar with a campfire as its focus. Camp activities include day and night game drives and guided walks.

Kichaka Zumbua sits atop a ridge in the eastern corner of Ruaha National Park with views across the Ruaha Valley.
"We had an amazing, awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Everything ran smoothly and we managed to see the Big 5 plus lots of lions, tree lions cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, elephants galore etc. Even the wildebeest. The accommodation was great everywhere. We had the most wonderful time and despite the cost, the air balloon flight was so worth it. Such an experience, none of us will ever forget."
