Overview
Baraza is an all-inclusive, boutique resort with shimmering mosaic interiors, carved marble and battered brass lanterns which give it the look of a whitewashed sultan's palace.
Rooms
There are 30 spacious, one and two-bedroom villas. The whitewashed walls, swathes of gold fabric and intricate carvings give the villas a Zanzibari feel. Each has a living area, en-suite bathroom, tea/coffee facilities and a terrace with sun loungers and a plunge pool.
Facilities
Dine at the open-air Livingstone Terrace or the Sultans Dining Room. Light lunches are served at the poolside Ocean Lounge, afternoon tea at the Chai Lounge and cocktails at Dhahabu Bar. Watersports such as wind surfing, kite surfing and sailing can be arranged at the Water Club and PADI dive centre. There’s a gym, impressive spa and pool in the gardens and a Kid’s Club.

Baraza Resort is set on Bwejuu Beach on the south-east coast of Zanzibar.
"We had an amazing, awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Everything ran smoothly and we managed to see the Big 5 plus lots of lions, tree lions cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, elephants galore etc. Even the wildebeest. The accommodation was great everywhere. We had the most wonderful time and despite the cost, the air balloon flight was so worth it. Such an experience, none of us will ever forget."
