Overview
LUX Marijani is a boutique resort with an Arabic-meets-Swahili design. The whitewashed walls, locally crafted tiles, carved wooden doors and arches are reminiscent of the architecture in Stone Town.
Rooms
The 82 rooms are decorated in pale coastal colours with brass and wood furnishings and have a balcony or terrace that faces either the ocean of the gardens. Deluxe rooms feature a rain shower while the larger executive rooms have a separate shower and bath. Interconnecting rooms are available for families.
Facilities
The Beach Restaurant offers interactive dining with chefs at live cooking stations; coffee and pastries are served at Café Lux and cocktails at The Bar. There’s a large pool with a kid’s area, a boutique spa and well-equipped gym.

"We had an amazing, awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Everything ran smoothly and we managed to see the Big 5 plus lots of lions, tree lions cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, elephants galore etc. Even the wildebeest. The accommodation was great everywhere. We had the most wonderful time and despite the cost, the air balloon flight was so worth it. Such an experience, none of us will ever forget."

We saw the big 5 and scenery was amazing. Video of hippos still makes us laugh and warthogs really do hop like the cartoon Lion King. "
