Overview

Mbali Mbali offers a remote experience, well away from the regular tourist routes in a landscape that is rustic, rugged and barely explored.

Rooms

The 10 safari tents are set on wooden decks under a thatched roof. They are furnished with wooden four-poster beds and writing tables. The en-suite facilities include a shower and a flushing toilet. Two of the tents are also suitable for families.

Facilities

The large, thatched main area sits raised on a wooden platform and consequently makes the most of the views across the plains. It houses a comfy lounge, dining area and outside a large, open deck which after dark becomes the focal point as guests gather around the campfire.

Mbali Mbali Katavi Lodge sits on an elevated point in the centre of Katavi National park, overlooking the Katisunga plains.

"We had an amazing, awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Everything ran smoothly and we managed to see the Big 5 plus lots of lions, tree lions cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, elephants galore etc. Even the wildebeest. The accommodation was great everywhere. We had the most wonderful time and despite the cost, the air balloon flight was so worth it. Such an experience, none of us will ever forget."
