Overview

From its elevated position atop a rocky kopje, the views from this friendly, family-owned lodge are simply spectacular. Vast savannah landscapes stretch for miles and in the valley below the lodge buffalo, eland, impala, warthogs and zebra are frequent visitors to the waterhole.

Rooms

The 12 tented rooms are all unique in style and character and have been sensitively designed to blend in with the environment. The solar-powered rooms are set on wooden platforms and are light and airy, with en suite bathrooms and a stunning view – some are nestled in the forest, others overlook the lake or are perched on a rocky outcrop. A couple are located down by the waterhole.

Facilities

The thatched dining area overlooks a waterhole and the park beyond so there’s the opportunity to spot wildlife while savouring home cooked meals. A well-stocked bar has been built around the granite boulders and an infinity pool stretches out from the rocks with stunning views across the savannah below. A massage rondavel is tucked away in the forest, there’s a hide down by the waterhole and a tennis court. Horse riding and mountain biking can be arranged locally or explore on foot with the Mihingo Walk Map.
