All the camp’s 15 comfortable and contemporary rooms and suites are en-suite, with bath and shower, tea and coffee station and complimentary Wi-Fi. Positioned for the surrounding views as well as complete privacy, there is also a private plunge pool and veranda.

Families or groups can enjoy the use of the larger family accommodation (two suites with a shared lounge), and there are three open-plan Presidential Suites for extra space and comfort with the addition of extra beds, a freestanding copper bathtub and mosquito nets.

Facilities

There is an infinity pool with river views, and an award-winning bush spa offering treatments. An open-plan reception, lounge and shared dining area is ideal for socialising and relaxing. The Sausage Tree Bar is a unique setting to enjoy a sundowner.

Our thoughts

"Sundowners are celebrated here in the Sausage Tree Bar. On a deck suspended above the river, it’s the perfect place to share stories of the day’s safari memories. Arriving by boat is a unique way to get your first glimpse of this lodge."

"The holiday was absolutely fantastic. Saw all the big 5 except rhinos. The accommodation was top class (lovely big beds), the people who staffed it were so friendly, guides were so knowledgeable, you really felt they wanted you to visit their country. We did a helicopter tour over Victoria falls, which were awe inspiring - another highlight of the holiday. All the transfers were smooth and efficient and this reduced any stress in the holiday, loved the small plane hops between camps in Botswana. We had an unforgettable holiday and will be boring our friends and family with it for months. Thanks for your help in organising this wonderful holiday. "

" We had a wonderful time! We loved the journey and whole experience on Rovos Rail from Pretoria to Vic Falls. We especially enjoyed Victoria Falls and the wildlife in the grounds of the hotel! We liked Mauritius alot. "

"We had a FABULOUS time. Even my husband, who was not keen on going, enjoyed the trip! We saw the Big 5 as well as many other animals. The vulture feeding at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge was well worth watching. It is part of a foundation to keep these birds from becoming endangered. It was a great trip and my family loved it. Thank you so very much for all your help in making the trip a reality for us!!!"

"South Africa was absolutely fabulous. Too many highlights to mention. The “stand out” for us was definitely the Rovos Train. The helicopter flight over Victoria Falls was exciting & the Safari at Shamwari was superb! Driving the Garden route (& sometimes off the beaten track !) was stunning. Great memories of such a lovely country."
