Overview
Somalisa Camp is a place of nature and luxury, with beautifully appointed suites set in a wonderful concession. With a full solar power farm and water purity system, the camp is also leading the way in eco-friendly safaris and has been awarded the first GOLD Green Tourism Certification in Zimbabwe.
Rooms
Each of the seven Bedouin style rooms are built on low rise decks, the large bedroom/lounge area leading onto a spacious deck with further seating areas. The large en-suite bathrooms have indoor and outdoor showers and a copper slipper-style bathtub positioned for great views across the plains.
Facilities
The main lodge consists of two split level decks, with the higher deck sitting under a large canopy roof with open sides. The higher deck houses the dining area, bar and lounge, whilst the lower deck has the fire pit and pool deck, which leads down to the ‘elephant pool’ which is frequented by elephant families making for great photo opportunities.
Activities include guided walks lead by qualified and passionate guides, game drives and night drives and local community visits.

Somalisa Expeditions is set in a game rich, private concession in the southeast area of Hwange National Park.
"The holiday was absolutely fantastic. Saw all the big 5 except rhinos.The accommodation was top class (lovely big beds), the people who staffed it were so friendly, guides were so knowledgeable, you really felt they wanted you to visit their country. We did a helicopter tour over Victoria falls, which were awe inspiring - another highlight of the holiday. All the transfers were smooth and efficient and this reduced any stress in the holiday, loved the small plane hops between camps in Botswana. We had an unforgettable holiday and will be boring our friends and family with it for months. Thanks for your help in organising this wonderful holiday. "
