Overview
The Hide offers a memorable safari experience, combined with a warm welcome and true Zimbabwean hospitality.
Rooms
There are ten deluxe spacious tents, all with private verandas overlooking the busy waterhole. All are en-suite, each configured slightly differently, with indoor and/or outdoor bathtubs and showers. Some have extended bedrooms suitable for accommodating families. There are also a range of sole use accommodations, including Tom’s Little Hide which is a great option for family groups.
Facilities
The main lodge area is set in an impressive A-framed thatched structure, with varying levels housing the shared dining area, lounge, viewing area and bar. There is also a plunge pool nearby and a firepit where sociable evenings unfold.
An underground tunnel links the lodge to a hide strategically placed in front of a waterhole often frequented by large herds of elephant and other wildlife – the perfect spot to observe and obtain some spectacular photographs.
Day and night game drives and guided walks are on offer, as well as an unforgettable night surrounded by the sights and sounds of the bush at the Dove’s Nest, a sleep-out experience just 10 minutes from the lodge.

The Hide is located on a private concession on the eastern border of Hwange National Park.
"The holiday was absolutely fantastic. Saw all the big 5 except rhinos.The accommodation was top class (lovely big beds), the people who staffed it were so friendly, guides were so knowledgeable, you really felt they wanted you to visit their country. We did a helicopter tour over Victoria falls, which were awe inspiring - another highlight of the holiday. All the transfers were smooth and efficient and this reduced any stress in the holiday, loved the small plane hops between camps in Botswana. We had an unforgettable holiday and will be boring our friends and family with it for months. Thanks for your help in organising this wonderful holiday. "
