DAY 1

Fly from the UK

Start your holiday with an overnight flight to Lusaka via Johannesburg

DAY 2

At leisure in Lusaka

Arrive in Lusaka and transfer to your hotel for a 1 night stay. Relax into African life with an afternoon around the pool or speak to your African Pride consultant about arranging a tour of Zambia’s vibrant capital city. Overnight at Latitude 15 or similar.

DAYS 3-4

Fly to the South Luangwa National Park

Today you will be transferred to the airport for the short 1 hour flight to Mfuwe – the gateway to the South Luangwa park. Spend two nights at your camp in this beautiful region, famed for its high density of leopard amongst many other big game species. It is also a bird watchers paradise, with more than 400 species recorded here.

DAYS 5-6

Explore on foot

After breakfast it is time to head deep into the bush for a truly exhilarating experience. South Luangwa is the original home of the walking safari, and the remote Island Bush Camp offers a thrilling raw location on the banks of the Luangwa River. Spend two nights in this pristine wilderness environment with game walks led by expert rangers.

DAY 7

Sleepout in South Luangwa

Return to Three Rivers Camp, perhaps opting to walk between the camps, for a final night in the South Luangwa. Why not experience the stunning African night sky and sleep under the stars on your private sleep out deck, listening to the sounds of the hippo wallowing in the river.

DAYS 8-9

Discover the Lower Zambezi

Transfer back to Mfuwe for your flight to the Lower Zambezi Valley. The stunning landscape here is home to an abundance of wildlife and many diverse opportunities for photographic opportunities. Spend two nights at your camp exploring the National Park and riverfront by vehicle, on foot, by boat and even on a canoe safari – a truly unique way to take in the special surroundings. With fishing and birdwatching opportunities too, this is a highlight for any safari enthusiast.

DAYS 10-11

Iconic Victoria Falls

Wave goodbye to the Lower Zambezi as you fly to Livingstone on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. Transfer to your lodge for a two night stay from where you can experience all this exciting region has to offer. Sunset boat cruises on the Zambezi are a highlight. Talk to your African Pride consultant about the wide range of activities on offer – from guided tours of the Falls to a scenic helicopter “Flight of Angels” over the mighty watery abyss.

DAY 12

Transfer to the airport

Enjoy a final morning relaxing with the sounds of the river before transferring to Livingstone airport for your flights home. Fly overnight back to the UK via Johannesburg.
