DAY 1
Arrive in the capital Kigali, either from the UK or elsewhere in Africa. Flights not included – speak to our team about creating your overall trip to incorporate this tour. Set off with your private driver/guide for the journey north to Volcanoes National Park for a two night stay in your choice of accommodation. Relax at your lodge and enjoy dinner before readying yourself for the adventure ahead. Journey time approx. 3 hours.
DAY 2
An early breakfast at your lodge before transferring to the park headquarters ready for the experience of a lifetime. After a briefing, enter the park for a trek through the rainforest slopes in search of the gorilla families. Treks may take between 2-6 hours but once located you will spend an unforgettable hour with these fascinating primates. After the trek, rejoin your driver/guide and return to your lodge for lunch. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to reflect on what you have experienced, with dinner at your lodge.
DAY 3
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge before departing for the scenic drive back to Kigali. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on arrival then your driver/guide will take you on a tour of the city and a visit to the inspirational genocide memorial. You will then be transferred to Kigali airport for your onward arrangements. Journey time approx. 3 hours.
