Day by day
DAY 2
Arrive in Dar Es Salaam
On arrival transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Usually just known as “Dar” this is no longer the capital city however is still Tanzania’s commercial and administrative hub. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the hotel pool and a cocktail on the terrace at the well located Onomo Dar Es Salaam.
DAYS 3-5
Nyerere National Park
After breakfast you will transfer to the airport for your light aircraft flight to Nyerere. Formerly known as Selous, this is Tanzania’s largest park and a vast, scenic wilderness experience. Spend three nights at your camp on game drives, walks and boating activities. We love the opportunity to get out of a vehicle and experience the adventurous side of safari.
DAYS 6-8
Remote Ruaha
Today you will take a light aircraft flight to Tanzania’s second largest park – the off the beaten track haven of Ruaha. Known for its large elephant herds and lion prides, cheetah also love the open plains amongst the ancient baobab trees. Spend three nights at your camp enjoying superb game viewing activities, with the opportunity for night drives adding an extra layer of intrigue to your adventure.
DAYS 9-10
Fly camping in Ruaha
The ultimate thrill is being out on foot, enabling you to get deep into the most remote corners of the bush. Spend two nights around the campfire at Kichaka Kidogo, a fly camping setup allowing you to explore further afield from the main Zumbua camp. This is raw exploration at its best, a throwback to the pioneering days of safari and an experience to truly cherish.
DAYS 11-15
Relax on the beach
Return to the airstrip and fly to the Spice Island of Zanzibar. Spend five nights relaxing on the beach or trying your hand at one of the many water sports available. A day tour to Stone Town can also be arranged – speak to your African Pride consultant for details. For those still yearning for a more off the beaten track experience, ask the team about heading onwards to the “Green Island” of Pemba instead. It is another flight from Zanzibar but the barefoot luxury at Fundu Lagoon rewards the intrepid traveller. Please note additional costs will apply for Fundu Lagoon option – please enquire for details.
Day 16
Return to Zanzibar airport
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your overnight flights home via Nairobi or Doha.

Arrive in the UK
