DAY 1
Start your holiday with an overnight flight to Lusaka via Johannesburg
DAYS 2-3
Arrive in Lusaka and board a light aircraft to fly to the South Luangwa valley. Transfer to your camp on the west bank of the Luangwa River for a two night stay. Tafika Camp offers a wonderful mix of exciting activities including day and night game drives plus the option to walk and mountain bike through the park. Between activities, the two hides overlook the camp waterhole which attracts a variety of game and birdlife.
DAYS 4-5
Today you will head to Chikoko Tree Camp, a small bush camp in a sector of the park with no roads or vehicles. Ask your African Pride consultant if you would like to incorporate the full walk between camps into your itinerary. Spend two nights exploring this remote wilderness on foot, looking for paw prints and immersing yourself in the forests. We often say that a game drive is like watching the movie, but a walking safari is like reading the book.
DAYS 6-8
Transfer to the airstrip for a light aircraft flight to the rugged and remote North Luangwa National Park. With very few tourists, you will feel like you have the park almost to yourself. Spend three nights at Mwaleshi Camp, on the banks of the eponymous river, heading out each day on foot to explore a region few are lucky enough to experience. This is Africa at her finest – raw, remote and wild.
DAYS 9-11
Fly via Mfuwe and Lusaka to Kafue National Park – something of a hidden gem despite being Zambia oldest park. Established in the 1950’s by the renowned conservationist Norman Carr, Kafue is also Zambia’s largest park and this means it always feels exclusive. The vast open spaces make for great cheetah territory plus are home to lion and leopard, drawn by the wide variety of antelope species and the floodplains and river. Enjoy game drives, walking and boat safaris during a three night stay in this beautiful park.
DAY 12
A final light aircraft flight takes you back to Lusaka ready for your onward connections. Fly overnight back to the UK via Doha.
Day 13
